when you add/remove lotus notes 8, after uninstall is complete, be sure all the files and folders in the notes program directory get removed (except for the data folder and the notes.ini). specifically, make sure the notes\framework directory is gone. also, delete the data\workspace folder. if you go this route, let me know how it works out for you.
